Currently, the chemotherapy department is a modern division of the oncologic dispensary. It provides quality treatment to patients with malignant epithelial and mesenchymal tumors of various localizations, including hemoblastosis. Here, the cutting edge methods are used to give patients mono- and polychemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.

Holistic treatment widely uses modern radio-modifications (combination of radiation and chemotherapy) for malignancies of the head and neck, intestines, and cervix, which has high therapeutic effect. Experience specialists of the department and high technical capabilities allow continuous infusion of cytostatics lasting from 22 to 72 hours. At certain medical indications, installation of venous ports and catheterization of peripheral veins is performed.

The department uses modern techniques of prevention and treatment of drug therapy complications, which lightens the treatment burden and improves the quality of life of patients. Treatment efficacy is monitored regularly.

The staff of the department has a variety of methods for administering chemotherapy drugs: intravenous - jet, drip, infusion using dispensers of medicinal substances; intramuscularly; in a pleural and abdominal cavity, etc.

The diagnostic uses the following tests and studies: complete blood count, myelogram study, trepan biopsy of the ilium, cytochemical studies in the patients with acute leukemia.
